VIENNA DESIGN WEEK will curate three unique on-site sensory experiences along with collateral events offering distinct insights into the Viennese design and crafts scene. In line with Freud’s explorations of the subconscious, the immersive installation will stimulate a transcending experience, a liminal, sensory space, from which the audience can playfully explore Austria’s contemporary design scene. Mysterious fabrics hanging from the ceilings will be the entrance to this sensory playground. Inside one will find design objects with which one can spend a moment of intimate, meditative interaction. To complement this ethereal experience, visitors will also receive the opportunity to connect with the makers behind the crafted objects through curated tours and unique design interventions.

VIENNA DESIGN WEEK is Austria's largest curated design festival and has been taking place in Vienna since 2007. Recently it welcomed over 40,000 visitors to around 200 events per year.
